"He who knows others is learned, he who knows self is wise." ~ Lao Zu 🙏
Often in life we are too involved and concerned about our relationships with others. We have reached to a point where our mind is so obsessed with the thoughts that its almost never free and same for the relations with others. 👨👩👦👦👬👭 It is very important to understand the two aspects of any relationship..the other and the self; and we usually forget the second one (self). 🤦
It is true that as a child we grow and learn about self concept through our environment i.e. parents, relatives, siblings, friends..but as we become adults it is very important to start reflecting inside rather than outside. Knowing, understanding, accepting, resonating, synchronising with our deepest beliefs, fears, desires, morals and learnings help us to initiate a healthy relationship with the self. 🧘😇 Isn't it better to start viewing our own selves through our perception and stop borrowing it from others? 💁
And the free bonus we receive from our "healthy self relation" is "healthier relations with others". Because the idea is simple, if you don't know yourself, how do you expect others to know you better. 🤨
So always remember, this second aspect of relationship is actually the primary one. Give your 'Self' a chance to know one another better. 👥
Start it from today, a deeper relationship with self - to know your self, to accept your self, to appreciate your self, to remain gentle with your self, to love your self. 🍃
